Rattles have been a part of the Shamanic Healer's medicine bag for as long as humans have been here in one form or another. For a very long time I have been drawn to and have collected a wide variety of rattles primarily from Native American artisand but also from South American, African, and Asian sources as well. Each rattle has a characteristic personality and sound. The multiple frequency tones created by the bead or stone inner content blends with the co mposition of the container itself serve to establish the signature of the rattle. Additionally, playing the rattle to take advantage of the structure and soun d in different areas gives it the capacity to heal via sound.
