Some General Information About Emotions
A Message for Your Child Self
Fear is one of our most basic emotions. In its pure form it is a powerful warning system that protects the organism from harm. Historically, fear was much more necessary because of the greater risk of physical injury. The mechanism of fight or flight was a needed element that kept us breathing the next breath. Over time the real threat has diminished for many, not all, and yet most bodies still function as if threatened. Fear has become a cultural vehicle of keeping the masses on edge.
In so doing we are kept off balance and anticipatory that something bad is going to happen. In the Western World fear is a major tool of control, perpetuated by still active Piscean programming that perpetuates war, crime, disease, kidnapping, famine, injury, death, financial disaster, natural disaster…on and on. The major news media has become the primary tool for spreading the fear agenda. As a result most people are kept on high alert, a process that significantly taxes the adrenals, kidneys, and heart; separates people and makes them suspicious and untrusting; leaves people feeling unsafe to the point that they surrender personal rights and power to the perceived authority in exchange for protection; inhibits personal freedom and the willingness to live a full life that involves risk; deposits huge amounts of stress on the body, emotions, and mind to be on high alert all the time; and on and on…
As far as the child is concerned, she, with her natural sensitivity and awareness, feels fear all over, leaving them to develop protective thoughts, , and actions that severely limit their natural child qualities. Having already been integrated into the family and cultural fears, the child must now be re-educated to understand the nature of the emotion, how to recognize its presence, and how to assist its movement and release to return to the place of center and balance. What follows are some additional thoughts about the emotion, fear:
- Fear is useful in physical or life threatening situations. In these the body prepares for action, the senses are heightened, the adrenals flood adrenaline into the system for protection or action, blood flows to the extremities and the hips in preparation for action the reptilian brain becomes highly active at the expense of the frontal lobe, the thinking brain.
- If our thoughts and focus are fear based, we activate Universal Law to bring more fearful situations to us. If we resist the acknowledgment of the fear the fear will intensify and likely increase symptoms and body response.
- Strong fear activates the root, sacral, solar plexus, and brow chakras. We connect to the earth for power via the root which will use the energy for fight or flight. The sacral houses the fear frequency as well as passion and child-like joy.
- Fear engages the kidneys, the bladder, the adrenals and the lower back.
- Most fears are not real in that they are not life threatening. The body responds to them in the same way however, overstressing and using up large amounts of energy in anticipation and expectation.
- Fear is felt in the lower abdomen at the second chakra. The bowels are getting ready to clear out. The knees are getting weak. The heart rate speeds up. The body gets a cold sweat. There is shaking and shivering. The mouth gets dry. Vision and hearing get more clear. It is a full bodied response.
- Fear energy held on to can lead to anxiety , panic, and terror. It can cause one to be in consistent states of trepidation and doubt and become hesitant and uncertain and restricted
- Fear fades when facts are faced. A greater understanding of what is really going on can diminish the fear and open up one to finding an appropriate response of solution to the situation
- Fear can become an ongoing way of life that leads to constant hyper alert. This is typically an unnamed fear of the unknown, a sense of just always being afraid of something, real or imagined
- Fear has a cycle of release that starts with the stimulus and moves like a wave out of the energy bodies, if allowed to do so. Exaggerating shaking and trembling and fear voiced sounds can assist in moving the energy to return to a calm state.
- Permutations of fear include worry, dread, wariness, nervousness, apprehension. These are often ongoing states built upon reservoirs of unexpressed fear that has created a belief system. Confusion is a mask for fear, as is anger.
- Some become addicted to the adrenaline and the heightened state that fear brings. They often do things that are high risk and have great potential for bodily harm or death. This is an escalating process that, like any addiction, needs more and more to impact the system enough for the payoff.
- You can learn to emrace and flow with fear, riding it out completely, if you first notice it is there. Typically it is a sacral chakra butterfly feeling that starts it. Sometimes the forhead fogs over. Sometimes a feeling of tingle sweeps over and through you.
