My, oh my, but this period is the land of plenty where anything can happen and usually does, for the good of the host, by the way. This contains not only the classic teen age years, but the high tide of hormonal puberty, the official coming of age, and the see ya’ I’m leaving home look out world here I come entrance into adulthood and all that that entails. Other than that it is a smoothly powerful time of the activation of a series of significant spiritual sequences that reflect the mastery of the original design.
The crown is the psychic, spiritual center connected to the pineal gland, the cerebral cortex, and the higher chakras there to regulate many in and out of body functions. The healthy pineal enables enlightenment. Too often the lack of support for the child’s unique identity initiates a body reaction that coats the pineal with heavy metals like mercury, aluminum, or cadmium as protection. Also, at menopause, both sexes are supposed to shift hormone regulatory functions from the sexual glands and the pituitary to the pineal, which activates a cascade of hormonal changes to advance our consciousness and promote physical healing.
Though the crown chakra is activated at birth to oversee the arrival of the precious being and to support the infusion of high frequency spiritual juice to pre 0 through 14 formation of the human being, it has enough additional work to do to require a 7 year window from 14-21. The initial crown entry point, the baby’s soft spot, focuses the information and energy from the body’s external chakras so that we can lay claim to our divinity right from the start.
This chakra works with our unfolding beliefs about our place in the world, in the systems around us, our roles and career expectations. It is linked to all feelings that relate to our sense of belonging. It assists in the full maturation of the adult body and in furthering our awareness of purpose and our own guiding principles.
As the body has already completed its entrance by this age the design calls for the being to make peace with the past, open to others, and define and accept our spiritual path…have the spiritual awakening. Too often, however, the woundings of the past and their associated blockages make this rough going. As a backup plan the chakras begin a yearly sequential revisit from 1-7 starting at 14.

During this the key concept is addressed and solidified, hopefully, while the clearing of energetic residue takes place with each of the chakras in sequence. It is important to note that the Higher Self will be attracting situations, circumstances, and people to assist in the clearing process. This may contribute to the overall confusion of the times as so much is in process. The deeper and more entrenched the issues contained in the energetic residue the greater the intensity and the time of the clearing for that chakra. Obviously, chakras with more issues will require more clearing while those with fewer will be smoother. This helps to understand how my 16 was so much more challenging than my year 15, for example.
Take time to reflect on each of the years in this period and make a list of events and learnings and people that impacted you in any way. Be thorough as the most insignificant may be anything but. Note any decisions you made about yourself during these times.
