How I Survived My Self

Well, it took away my travel and it told me stay at home
I’ve been here over two months I am facing me alone
I’ve looked into the shadows for all I never chose to say
And I kinda see myself in a brand new way
I used to paint myself in judgment That’s from a long forgotten pain
I would sabotage my progress and wonder why things stayed the same
I’d get scared and call for saviors and keep solutions on the shelf
Now I’m sitting here in wonder how I survived my self
I’d been stumbling dragging that
load of my past Like a ball and chain
Never taking time to turn from the Me that I had learned
So de vo ted To the story
The one I was addicted to believe That would define me
Till this time that came from nowhere….set me free set me free
You can say I’ve been delivered by a sweeping swirling change
I forced myself to shake and shiver until this life was rearranged
I took the hand that was reaching and we jumped into the well
Now I celebrate this moment That I survived my self
I’d been stumbling dragging that
load of my past Like a ball and chain
Never taking time to turn from the Me that I had learned
So de vo ted To the story
The one I was addicted to believe That would define me
Till this time that came from nowhere….set me free set me free
You can say I’ve been delivered by a sweeping swirling change
I forced myself to shake and shiver until this life was rearranged
I took the hand that was reaching and we jumped into the well
Now I celebrate this moment That I survived my self
