Tuners
If you work with stringed instruments this is essential. Remember to experiment with the A=440 pitch setting as new research is showing that, for healing purposes, creating music in A=432 has strong impact. It will require adjustments to accompaniment instruments but it may very well be worth it in its energetic impact. I suggest an in hand tuner in addition to any software or app tuners you may find due to its access and portability. Some I have used and recommended:

Korg TM50 Chromatic Metronome and Tuner
A versatile digital tuner that includes a metronome, both available simultaneously. Tuner calibrates from 410hz to 480Hz. Metronome           from 30 BPM to 252BPM in 4 bpm increments. Tap tempo is also available. Go to American Musical Supply

          Peterson BBS1

For a much better standalone metronome with incremental less than 1 bpm settings to use with specific healing rhythms, explore
this full featured metronome. Go to American Musical Supply

          Intellitouch CP1 Capo Tuner
Ingenious….if you are prone to using capos for your guitar, then this combo capo tuner will allow you to make the minute
adjustments so often necessary for the accurate use of the that capo. Check it out at Sweetwater Music.

Scales
Knowing a variety of scales and modes can make a significant difference in the vibrational effectiveness of a melody. Here are some tools to help with learning them.

          Chordbook.com

Interactive website for learning guitar chords and scales

          All Guitar Chords.com
Great interactive charts for scales, chords, and more on the guitar

          Scales-Chords.com
Wow!…pretty complex…but just wait till you see all the information there! Everything and more about scales and notes…

Apps
iPads are something I never felt drawn too. Until I played and saw a keyboard player using his for all his music and on the compositions and lead sheets. I had been carrying two large binders of my songs wherever I traveled to…about 12 pounds…United loved me. So, I researched and found some apps that have been monumental in easing the burden and totally organizing me. So…I bought  the latest one in 32 GB form without the cellular plan (choice because I was only using it as a musical storage and reference tool, and all that could be done at a place where there was wi-fi. Still feel good about the choice, though some of the apps are tempting…they have nothing to do with my original musical intention…going out at night and holding the iPad up and then getting the appropriate star chart for that location. Amazing…but unnecessary.) Here are the ones I am using currently

          OnSong
Perfect song storage and organizing tool. Reads all kinds of files, including PDF, chord Pro, etc. I have created separate books,
each populated with a particular type of song: chants, mantras, intentional songs, presentation songs, invocations, personal healing
songs, lead sheets, Dances of Universal Peace…I took my Word files, cleaned the lyrics up with chords added, converted to PDF
and then quickly downloaded to the iPad. I have never been this organized. It scrolls from song to song. I can set timing on a song
as I play and it scrolls from top to bottom to meet me at the end. I can also purchase a bluetooth pedal that turns pages. It can be in
low light form for stage use (black background and white letters and color chords. It is so great!Go to the App store for access and
         download.

          SongBook

Another PDF based reader that allows me to catalog and quickly organize all my cover tunes for performance. It allows the creation
of play lists. This works perfectly for the medleys this band is famous for…the one that has re-connected after ten years. Great fun.           Nice to do music outside of the healing and self help and spiritual realms…for balance. This one, like many, can download songs           from the internet in chordpro or chordie format. SO easy. Just a bit of cleanup and the song is there. Even allows key changes           (chords change with key selection) and editing of lyric and arrangement. I love it. It scrolls in set time or responds to the pedal page           turner as well. Again, visit the app store at Apple and access by title.

          Goodreader
I use this versatile PDF reader for all my information. I have my visioning, my business plan, my intentions, my, affirmations, my           workshop content, my website work plan,…on and on it goes. It allows me to travel with everything I need for performance, sound           work, healing work, presentations, radio shows…wow! And it weighs under 5 pounds. This app allows extensive file management,
file sending via the wi-fi. Highly recommended, like all of these. Having one for information, one app for cover songs and band work,           another for all my creations and healing music is the best, cleanest manner for me to keep productive and organized.  Visit the app           store and search for the title.
