Percussion

Consists of drums, rattles, shakers, rainsticks, clickers, clackers….anything that can make a percussive sound. These are perfect for bringing someone into their body. The Earth connection is solidified with the drums. The rattles and shakers punctuate the rest of the chakras. Drums strongly work the lower three chakras, bringing foundation, clearing old woundings, eliciting passion and joy, and inciting action and activity and movement. Endless rhythms exist from cultures through time. Rhythms from your local cultural heritage often have the strongest impact on your system, especially if you were born there.

Wind Instruments

Wind family instruments are obviously associated with air elements. Depending on the flute or horn, their impact on the chakras will vary. They are powerful with throat and for lung clearing. The pure tones are pitch related and can be used to pinpoint a relevant frequency for clearing. Flutes lift the spirit. Horns are grounding and amplify power and presence. Their staccato bursts are useful in cleansing out debris in the lower chakras and in the overall auric field. Some of the wind family are very evocative and beautiful impact the heart chakra. Vision can ride the sound currents into the physical world.

It requires a special circular breathing technique and uses drone and pulses voicings to speak;the Tibetan Templehorn is ceremonial and is used to invite the soul/mind to leave the body for journeying. It is powerful and can draw long suppressed energetic memories from the body and subconscious for clearing; The Conch is a shell that provides a potent blast that can be used for ceremony and cleansing

Harmonium

An Indian keyboard instrument played by pumping air through the bellows. It is a beautiful accompaniment for chanting, especially in the Kirtan process using Sanskrit and Sikh mantras.
