These songs of spirit for young children were originally created using familiar melodies that most children knew, at least when I grew up. They were from common playground songs, folk songs, jump rope songs, classroom music programs, and the like. Many of the songs are not taught any more. But, here are the melodies with what I like to call, conscious lyrics that feed and nurture and raise the vibration.
Short songs like this work because they have the simple melody and a few lyrics that make a positive statement. The repetition helps to get the intentional message of the song into the singer to assist them in finding consistent places of balance.
Depending on how long I keep doing these short concerts, I will likely exhaust the repertoire and start using original ones created later on when I put together the Young Children Songbook (check out on the list to the left of available resources.
As a side note, many of these songs are in the key of C, which many consider to be a foundational key for the alignment of the body chakra energetic system. Singing them will assist in balancing the chakra system which has a huge impact on overall health, vitality, and attitude.
Singing is essential to allow the voice to massage the inner organs of the body. Using the voice also helps to release any stuck emotion and unsaid words that arise from the moments of living.
