Sounding the Chakras

Let me remind you that chakras are energetic and vibrational windows of communication between the outer and the inner worlds. As such, they are in constant flux, depending on the inner state and the outer influences. Understandably, and based upon Universal Law, these two domains are intimately related and highly influential of one another.

As vibration, these chakras are influenced by sound. Each chakra has a frequency of wholeness. When energetic experiences are held and unprocessed, typically by silencing the voiced response to the experience, the thematic energy is stored in the chakra area with the intent that the energetic debris will be processed and released, allowing the chakra to oscillate back to the place of wholeness and balance. Ideally, self care regarding the inner energetic baggage is paramount in maintaining a state of health. The more the energy stores in the chakra the greater the reduction of oscillation, frequency. The solidifying of the energy in the physical realm is the inevitable result of held and unprocessed energy in the body. Physical conditions manifest to get our attention as the body is designed to clear itself and find balance. Too often , however, this process is interrupted by ignorance, beliefs, and just not paying attention to the callings of the body.

The voice, being of vibration, is a powerful, readily available, and specific tool that can be used to keep clear. By holding specific pitches and using specific phonemes one can entrain the chakra back to the resonant frequency of wholeness. As the external energetic influence of life is constant it would follow that one must tend the chakra garden on a regular, daily, if not hourly basis…at least situationally. Again, paying attention to the body signals will let you know when outside energy is impacting or triggering held energies for release. I cannot underscore the significance of listening to the body.

What follows is a chakra tune up recording. I have addressed each of the seven in body main chakras through pitch and phoneme. Ideally you stay with each chakra up to three minutes. If there is wavering of the pitch or difficulty in sustaining the pitch then the chakra is in lower vibration. Attend it with the vocal clearing until you feel the pitch stabilize and the sustaining breath return.

If you are without pitch reference then simply use the phoneme and, starting with a vocalized sound, either raise or lower the pitch slowly until it zeros in on the chakra location. You will feel it begin to resonate. Follow inner guidance for fine tuning the chakra. Again, when the pitch is steady and sustained, all is well.

Do this daily, especially at the end of the day. You will do much to maintain your energetic balance.

There are also specific songs/chants I have used to focus in pitch, intent, and lyric on the chakra in question. Listen and utilize each or write your own based on the principles stated. Click on each song to hear a sample.

Finally, when you do not remember the pitches, the phonemes , or the songs, you can sing a song that so many know. Whether it was created knowingly as a chakra clearing song is unknown, it still provides a delightful vehicle with with to get clear. The song is Rogers’ and Hart’s: Do, Re, Mi. Enjoy…but no matter how you tend the chakra energy garden…just do it. It will pay off handsomely in your being and in your creations.
