Two paths must now be presented, each embarking from the incessant sounding of Source. Because the multiverse is sound, it is immersed in music, for music is but the organization of sound. The creation of music is the beneficial blessing upon every organism in creation. The trueness and immersion and celebration of the music is directly proportional to the vibration and health of one’s energy self. Each has the capacity to attune to whatever frequency they desire to create their own symphony, their own musical composition for the moment, their own song of identity.
Sound healing and music healing are actually two parallel paths. Both coexist, but up until recent times, sound healing has been mostly in the domain of indigenous cultures, or, at least, non western cultures.
Western culture has embraced and run with music, not for healing purposes, for that is the bastion of the medical conglomerate, but for entertainment purposes, as distraction, as a way to promote product and sell ideas...
So, let us trace with word and audio sample, the musical history of the East, West, and Indigenous expressions to see what we can learn. A brief overview of each will be followed by an examination of a selection of specific and influential cultures from each category.

But, the energetic influx of Light in these times has brought back a yearning for the “old ways”. The spirit and rhythm of indigenous music has infiltrated the citadel of Western music to give birth to new vibrations and music that restructures the cells of the world in a variety of ways.

The shaman, the medicine man, the witch doctor, so often ridiculed by the narrow minded westerner, is the de facto orchestrator of sound and song and musical ritual in most indigenous cultures. They walk between the worlds, freely integrating dimensions to reach in and harness the vibrations of healing and alignment and cultural maintenance.

Eastern Music, including music from China, Japan, India, Bali, Tibet, and the Middle East, among others has historically kept the spiritual connection in heart and mind by creating specific music and chants that encouraged higher realm interaction. It is only in recent years that eastern music has been influenced by western music to create hybrid forms. Yet, despite the monetary lure of entertainment music, tradition and a culturally acknowledged and encouraged spiritual connection have kept the music intact for the most part.
Sound healing has been birthed and nurtured in India and Bali as it is a significant element in widespread musical ritual practices and general populace listening and performance habits. The extensive use of different musical scales and pitches has given Eastern music a sound all its own. As we shall discover, the conscious use of pitch, especially through intentional application of the human voice, has a significant impact on the cells, body systems and general physical and emotional well being of the listener and performer.
