Sacred Geometry: Mandalas
Mandala is to the visual sense as chant and mantra is to the auditory sense. The mandala is a geometric design, most often circular, that is a symbol of the Universe, or at least an element contained within the Universe. Mandalas are seen as sacred places which, by their very presence in the world, remind a viewer of the immanence of sanctity in the universe and its potential in himself.
The mandala is a process by which one witnesses the self into balance. As a meditation, it is a symbol which invites the viewer into personal revelation and awareness. As such, it can shift energies within by triggering remembering.
The color, the repetition, the circular movement of the creation, the symbolic and archetypal shapes combine to create a mystical experience.
The Sound Alchemist can use mandala to invite sound creation, either through presentation or creation of one. Creating one from the central dot is a birthing that moves outward. The process moves energy and moves one into balance, without the need for understanding.
You are invited to explore mandalas, both the looking and the creating sides. Please refer to the resources at the link below to step into this special world. Allow each mandala to speak to you. For each contains a message for your Being only, in that moment of viewing.
