Much can be ascertained about a person’s inner condition by the sound of their voice. Voices without body often indicate significant wounding where the person is energetically cut off from the neck down, unwilling to explore their difficult past. They sound hollow and strident.
Similarly a voice that is all throat sounds constricted and controlling, though it projects well. It lacks body and substance. Again, it may indicate that the person is out of touch with what has hurt them and they have lost the vision or the willingness to see into it.
Ideally, a Sound Alchemist will use this information to bring them back to balance by developing awareness of all three chambers. The primary chamber is the body because it brings authenticity, foundation, power, love, creativity, and joy to the whole being. Adding the throat for articulation and harmonics clarifies the sound and sets the person out into the world. Rounding out the voice with the cranium resonance provides the spiritual vision to live and express more fully.
We explore the mechanics of this process in Level One of the Sound Waves Inner Mystery School.
For now, listen to your own voice and experiment with the placement in the three chambers. Strive to create a balance of expression of each. Then notice how that feels…
