What follows are a series of overtoning exercises taken from the seminal work by Wayne Perry, Sound Medicine.

With each, experiment with the shape of your mouth, the placement of your tongue and the position of your jaw. Vary also the placement of the sound, moving from the back of the throat to the front of the mouth to the nasal passage and cranium. As you sound keep all fully relaxed. Though some tension arises in the process soon you will be able to make the sounds easily and successfully.  Spending 3 to five minutes on each exercise can have a profound and peaceful effect. It can also be innervating at the same time, generating a lot of higher vibrational heat.
