Bonus Session:
Becoming an Elder

  • Technically, all humans become elders by virtue of aging…the actual age where one enters that distinction is debatable. For the most part, indigenous cultures have been highly conscious and honoring of the aging process, openly elevating and respecting those who have lived long. Western civilization appears to have been age-phobic through the entirety of the Piscean Age. As we enter the Aquarian age there are signs that this is shifting as the humanity in all of us wakes up to recognize the wisdom that comes from living consciously. Still, the elderly are often cast aside as a burden. The obsession with youth leaves many fearful of growing older. The use of elder in religious institutions has often be exclusive to men and is a typical hierarchical process that is favor and power based. There is little use for these types of delineations in these growing expansive times. Additionally, too often the “elders” simply pass on the old ways, the dogma, the company line, in an effort to maintain the status quo. While this can have value, too often it stresses and forces the generations to ignore their own vibrational expansion and deeper understandings that they arrived with. This is a growing challenge as we all become aware of who we truly are.

  • What shows, by design, is that the evolution of the human life is an unfolding path that develops substance. The experiences of life and what each does with them develop character and greater understanding. One learns what works and what does not. They pass on possibility and perspective learned and revealed through the moments of living. This is not dogma, but a possibility for those who follow. The human life calls for each to make sense of the dimensional experience and find one’s own remembering of self. It is unique and not easily subject to gross generalizations, though there are, obviously similarities from one to the next. The older can simply, and lovingly, pass on what they have learned to those who are interested….without expectations and personal investment. The youth, with all that fire and vibrancy, consider themselves invincible, and want most to find out for themselves, make decisions for themselves, and direct their own pathway. So be it. Sometimes being a wise one means sharing what you have learned with those of your own age who are still too influenced by the fear based lifetimes of the past.

  • In order to facilitate a likely capacity to be a conscious wise one, it is necessary to consciously undue the beliefs and patterns established by the invasive programming of the past: limited and flawed being, your past determines your future, your body starts dying the day you are born, limited life span, growing older is ugly, you are going to lose your youth and vigor and all that goes with it, aging is lonely, you lose your faculties as you age, the body is prone to disease, feelings are to be swallowed, etc. With these in place it is challenging at best to age with any kind of clarity and grace. Clearing energetic debris is essential. Releasing worn out beliefs and replacing them with life affirming ones is critical. Opening up to a new paradigm is required.

  • The physical body is energetic and vibrational by design, and,as such, is entirely subject to thoughts, beliefs, and actions. The body, on all energetic levels, responds to the intentions and beliefs directly, by Cosmic Law…so it becomes what you focus upon. It is actually designed for long life. Learning to attend to it on multiple energetic levels insures that its capacity to support longevity is maintained. Clear energy activates the release of new information and dormant capacities that are part of the design. The body is a self cleaning, self replicating organism capable of at least 7 cycles of 49 years, according to one esoteric source. The energetic chakra system recycles in body chakras from the age of 56 to 105 in 7 year periods to increase the release of old energy experiences and allow the opening of additional in and out of body chakras. Chakras 8-12 open from age 21 to 56. These then combine in regular seven year cycles with the in body chakras to form advanced awareneses and capacities: at 42 we awaken to the Transmutation of Love; at 49 to communicating wholeness of humans; at 56 we develop aware vision; at 63 life definition comes into play; at 70 we enter a life review for the purpose of setting new intentions and directions; at 84 we open to greater spiritual connectedness. These later capacities only happen when one has experienced life and its personal permutations enough to be able to discern what has specifically worked for their [personal incarnation. This becomes the wisdom that can be shared as an “Elder”

  • As we age we can learn to embrace life. As we get clear we realize that not so much matters like it did. We grow great respect for the journey and find that wisdom gained is highly personal and also worth sharing to those who are open and hungry. An elder can become a way shower for others of any age. Separate from the issues that tied up energy before, the Grand parent can now interact with the grandchildren separate from the parenting plug ins of their own. They can be  less attached. One opens up to seeing the world differently. If their spiritual reawakening has paralleled their energetic cleansings then they can become privy to significantly new perspectives and understandings about humans, relationships, the Earth, and the Cosmos. The only real responsibility we have as high vibration beings (as all are moving towards becoming) is to live fully in our frequency. Simply by living we can shift the vibrations of those around us and “change the world”. We have been taught that we must fix and repair and heal and save the outside when the real intention of that was to self apply…and then live consciously in that balanced state.

  • Indigenous cultures have chosen to stay separate from the mass civilized cultures and thus retain many of the natural design. This allows for a different, more expanded, less stressed life. From these cultures we can learn much about how compassionate and caring we can be. The elderly are honored as vibrant members of the culture. Children and young adults listen to them, seeking them out for advice. They are carrying the wisdom of life, record keepers of the journey thus far, holders of the keys to life learned doorways to a broader experience of the incarnation in this dimension. This is something the West must learn to do…rest homes, or putting out to pasture, is a convenience for a society. Out of site, out of mind may serve the wounded children who are not willing to deal with their stuff, but it is no way to treat the honored ones, the ancestors.

  • Post retirement can be the field of energetic gold for the elder as they end the forced use of time that work brings. With more personal time available one is free to pursue and experience that which they have yearned to do. It is ripe with possibility and can be a luxurious time to get clear and connected with life. Sadly, it is too easy for one to see the time as the end. Too many lose the fertility of the time and allow the unprocessed energies of life thus far wash them away into giving up. This is a time of great inner and outer wisdom and vitality (depending on how clear energetically one is). Inner esoteric capacities are ripe for exploration. With the new energies of the times it is becoming easier and easier to reclaim design given skills. The potential for greater non-attachment and the ability to surrender into the experience of mindlessness will open inner doors and reveal an unfettered world. It can be a bliss full time for one who chooses to embrace the Divine Smorgasbord laid before them at their own altar if awareness.

  • A Crone is a woman of age and inner means. She has reclaimed her power and tends esoteric and dimensional gardens of possibility, in touch with the elements, the kingdoms, and the information necessary to be a powerful and expanding resource. Culture has branded these women as witches or New Age woo woo’s or crazy. Fortunately, many are so powerful that they can easily thwart these efforts to curtail them and simply move beyond the drivel to be important pieces of a thriving society…as they shall increasingly become. Entering the hearth of the crone follows menopause. Entry guarantees nothing, however. One must become a woman of substance through the process much like what has been laid out in spiritual mentoring and experiences of the like. Fully embodied, willing to walk through all the mud and immerse oneself in the fertile and fiery core of life…this is what is required…
