The Spindle World Series Day

-the story continued
I said earlier that at The Spindle the pay was less than stellar...but the fringe benefits were great. So, the tip jar became one of the main elements of focus as gigs went on. So, on this day, since the music that was not played due to the updates, we pushed the tip jar, with taste , of course!. Typically, we would invite some in the audience to join the tip jar team...these were the "beautiful people"...yes, women mostly, because usually the audience was made up of a bunch of frat boys from Cal Poly. Let's just say we were priming the pump. We would go light on the first set. But as the energy rose and the beer took effect, things became more frivolous and directed. So, for the next three sets we would call upon the tip team. An extra $200 bucks for the boys in the band in the 70's went a long way. The frat boys loved it and everyone was in on it...good clean fun...

World Series Day...indeed...and a record in the tip jar day! Just another Spindle afternoon.
