The weather is the constant expression of the earth’s emotional state. The alignment of sunlight, wind, water, and molecules and atoms in motion, combine to create the ever moving, ever flowing expressions of weather. Sure, it appears, according to the laws of physics, that the rotation of the earth and its positioning to the sun significantly effect the weather’s daily, monthly, and seasonal forms. But, I believe there is oh so much more going on here.

As Earth is a living being, Gaia, there is an energetic and vibrational  component that is called into awareness. Add to this the energies, beliefs, actions, and shifting vibrations of all the living forms upon the Earth and you have a system that provides immediate feedback into the inner life of all. Energetically, as humans, we emit specific oscillating frequencies that reflect our thoughts, wounds, and unexpressed energetic debris. These emissions serve as magnetic attractants to influence the forms of what shows up. I submit that the weather reflects the collective energy for several purposes: to assist in the clearing and cleansing of its inhabitants; and to directly influence their vibration to rise up for the greater good of all.

Rain, as water, cleanses and washes away the dust, dirt, and lower frequency energies. The negative ions that accompany rain realign our own energetic fields, leaving us feeling better. The wind sends the air element through our energetic bodies, loosening and cleansing energetic debris, leaving us in a higher vibration. Cold air forces us to go within, creating a reflective, introspective vibration that invites clearing, clarifying, intuiting, and redirecting our thoughts and potential actions. Warm weather invites us into the sunlight to celebrate Light and receive the specific energetic codings from the sun. Blue sky stimulates the throat chakra to express, thus clearing away the old and making manifest the new. Clouds create ever changing forms and shapes that just might be archetypal triggers to open us to greater awareness and understanding. Humidity stimulates the release of water as perspiration in a cleansing of toxicity, much like a sauna.

The weather influences how we move about our day. It invites self care. When intense it stimulates us to clear root chakra survival issue residue, to release fear from the second chakra, to make choices and decisions that exercise the solar plexus will. Disasters open heart chakras and mobilize us to care for one another, stepping out of our lives of separation and isolation.  The changes in weather activate our sensitivities and invite intuitive insight and guidance to be heeded. The weather impacts our emotional state as well. We all know how great a beautiful day feels. It is easy to forget any challenges when it is a just right day outside. Please consider the symbiotic relationship we have with the earth. Be open to and explore how the weather moves and impacts you. Discover how you can control your own weather inside and out. At least become sensitive to what each shift brings and how it really impacts you. Start now!

  1. Begin to notice the weather as more than a nuisance. Pay attention to the daily, hourly, and minute by minute shifts in how it appears. As you notice see how it impacts you, your energy, your thoughts, your actions. What perspectives does this invite?
  2. When the clouds come, take time and go cloud watching. What if, indeed, the clouds were there for your stimulation alone? What if the shapes you noticed were triggers to open awareness and release inner cellular codings carrying specific information about the day’s vibration and how you can best flow with it? Make a note of your experiences.
  3. Use your breath and focus to explore the ability to influence the shape and appearance of clouds. Focus on one cloud and work to dissipate it into another form or to vanish altogether. What do you find out?
  4. Perceive your inner world as weather. Notice the shifts and changes that occur. Can you recognize when it is fair as well as when a storm is coming? Can you utilize the inner rain to cleanse your vibration? Make a log for a period of time and look for some weather patterns. Are they influenced by time of day, day of the week, time of the month, time of the year? Notice and see what conclusions you come to. Apply them to your life and see what happens.
  5. Make the decision to always embrace the weather around you. How it shows up is perfect for you. Begin to align your thoughts and actions to the daily oscillations of sun and wind and rain. Notice how this impacts the flow of your life.
  6. Track the weather disasters for a period of time. Entertain the idea that these are reflections of humanity’s inner world. Notice the location of the event. Notice the kind: flood, tornado, hurricane, drought, etc.  Notice what it brings up in you. Do something to help those impacted by the event.
  7. Next time it is windy, go outside and stand in it. Open your arms and invite it to clear away auric field energy deposits. Invite the cleansing. Notice how it feels…
