Chant, Mantra, Intentional Song of the Week
Archive 1-4

Ele Ele Tau Mai from the CD, Peace.
Alternative version on CD, Chants

A chant from the Hawaiian tradition translating “may the great peace descend”. It is in the key of D so it is focusing into the second chakra where strong emotions, past hurts, injustices, abuses, and unexpressed experiences are held. Use this chant to cleanse the energetic residue of all that has not served you to settle into an inner peace that vibrates in alignment with your true frequency. Use it also to create fertile, peaceful foundation for creativity and joy.
Shanti Praschanti Sarva Krodha Upasha Mani Swaha, from the CD, Sung Mantras

A mantra from the Hindu tradition in Sanskrit. It is translated to mean, “Invoking supreme peace I offer [surrender] the quality of anger to its source in the higher and formless universal mind. Salutations”. Use this mantra to clear the emotional frequency of anger. One  practice is to embark on a 40 day commitment of at least one session a day to shift the energy cesspool of anger. Each session invites you to speak  the mantra out loud  108 times in succession. Use of a mala bead necklace will allow you to keep track of your number. An alternative is to use the sung version of the mantra provided here and treat it like a chant, singing it repetitively. The sung version was created in the solar plexus chakra key where anger and power issues are frequently held. Singing it encourages a strong cleanse of those energies as the melody acts as a frequency cleanse on top of the phrase.

Father of the Living, from the CD, You Have the Power
This an original song/chant created in the early 90’s when I was full time music director at Unity Church in San Luis Obispo, California. This was actually created as a meditation song for Father’s Day. Because I feel a strong connection to the Earth and also to Native energies, I gave it a Native American slant musically. It is pulsed to connect with the strong foundation so lovingly provided for us every moment of our lives. To really balance the song, I brought in the Mother element to trade off. So the chant goes between the two. We are here between the earth and the sky, drawing presence, power, nurturance, life and inspiration from the two. The wise one recognizes the connection and Source and consciously draws from the two.

Use this chant daily for the week and notice how your vision and experience expand. The energy connections traverse space and time, so we include in our awareness that which has been, that which is, and that which shall be, thus planting magnificent seeds into fertile energetic ground. Celebrate the connection, my fellow traveler!
Apache Power Chant, from the CD, Chants
Native American chant pulses to the beat of Mother Earth. It resonates with the power of the land. This chant is from the Apache tradition, a tribe of Arizona, New Mexico, and northern Mexico. They were particular strong and cunning warriors. The Hinamaya chant was used to raise energy to reach an altered state to prepare for battle. It is particularly useful to elevate the vibration to ignite courageous action.

As a power chant, use it to inspire you in moments of doubt. Use it to move your energy of intention into action. Use it to sharpen your focus and activate your power center. Use it for preparation for a presentation, or an interview, or an intense conversation or confrontation. Use it to gather energy to stay enthusiastic. Call upon it when you feel week and must face something you have hesitancy about. Use it to diffuse anger or intense emotional energy. Use it just to get a good buzz...for fun...
